unità produttive

The production activity of the company Saviola is structured on 5 production units. Three of them are diaries where the Grana Padano and Parmigiano Reggiano cheese is produced while two are packaging plants.

caseificio San Giovanni

SAN GIOVANNI IN CROCE (CR) - (Dairy and packaging plant)
This is the main production unit and includes the dairy processing Grana Padano along with the main packaging plant. The production plant for Grana Padano is one of the biggest in the whole branch and produces an average output of 400 cheese wheels a day.
The packaging plant is divided in two main departments: in the first one cheese is cut, portioned, filmed and under vacuum packaged. This department is provided with four production lines. The second department mainly concentrates on the packaging of grated cheese and of cubes. It is equipped with five modern production lines.

stabilimento san Giovanni
caseificio di fiorenzuola   FIORENZUOLA (PC) - (Dairy).
This dairy is similar to the one in San Giovanni in Croce (CR) but even more modern as for its equipment and facilities. Its average output, too, amounts to 400 cheese wheels a day.
stabilimento di parma

PARMA – (Packaging plant)
This packaging plant is where grated Parmigiano Reggiano, flakes and cubes are packaged. In other words, that’s where the entire rindless Parmigiano Reggiano production is packaged. The consortium disciplinary wants it to be packaged in its area of origin.
